Trumpcare. The bill that wouldn’t die. Kill or be killed. The bill or the People? It’s a race for our lives.
While we brush up on rules of impeachment and how pardons work and which rat is jumping ship today, the Senate is busy trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Again. There is a small bit of good news, though. While the republican party has splintered into several groups who want to tear down society and eliminate the government, looting anything they can as they go, they all have different reasons and agendas. The group that may save our health care (and us) is, strangely, the one that uses religion and misogyny to control us. The group that we’ve been trying to get out of our uteri are so determined to stay right where they are that they might prevent us losing our affordable health care including the excellent care women (and men) receive from Planned Parenthood. Go figure.
This week has worn me out so I don’t have the juice to even start with the confirmation of super anti-Roe v. Wade and anti-truth judge, John Kenneth Bush. I’ll just end this with, “well, that happened.”
